A local anaesthetic facelift is performed while you are awake — the face is numbed with injections rather than a general anaesthetic being used. The procedure takes approximately 4-5 hours and is performed in-rooms at Waikato Specialist Centre. All-inclusive cost: $16,500.
This procedure is not suitable for everyone — health, blood pressure, cardiovascular history, and suitability to be awake during surgery are all assessed individually. A local anaesthetic facelift cannot be guaranteed in advance; some patients are advised that a general anaesthetic is the safer option after assessment.
